These terms govern the PaidSmile (1001711679 Ontario Inc.) new-patient reward in Ontario. The reward is funded and issued by PaidSmile. Your dentist does not pay it, does not decide who receives it, and it never changes your treatment price or the care you are offered.
Who qualifies
- You must be a new patient at the practice, booking your first visit through PaidSmile.
- One reward per person every 12 months.
- Both appointments must be booked under the name on your PaidSmile account.
- Private dental insurance and the federal Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) qualify. Visits funded by provincial programs such as ODSP or Ontario Works do not.
What counts as a visit
- First visit: a new patient exam plus at least one other distinct service. X-rays alone do not qualify.
- Second visit: at least two distinct services at the same practice, within 12 months of the first.
How you get paid
- Nothing is required from you. No receipt, no form, no upload.
- The practice confirms you attended. Rewards are not issued on unconfirmed visits.
- Payment is issued within 7 days of that confirmation, as the gift card you selected when booking — Visa prepaid, Amazon, Walmart, Tim Hortons or President’s Choice. It is delivered by email.
Other conditions
PaidSmile may withhold a reward where a visit cannot be verified with the practice, or where the same person claims through multiple accounts. If a practice records you as a no-show and you believe you did attend, email us at hello@paidsmile.ca with your receipt or any other proof and we will look into it. PaidSmile is not a dental practice and does not provide dental advice or care.
How PaidSmile is paid
The dental practice pays PaidSmile a fee when a patient introduced through this service attends an appointment. That fee is a flat amount agreed in advance. It does not vary with the treatment you receive, the value of that treatment, or anything you spend at the practice, and no fee is payable if you do not attend.
You never pay PaidSmile anything. Your reward is funded and issued by PaidSmile alone — the practice does not fund it, does not decide who receives it, and it has no bearing on the care you are offered or what you are charged for it. The fee is agreed with each practice in advance of any patient being introduced.
